The day is finally here, last day of school and the first day of vacation! We get up and drop DS off to school, its his last day of his freshmen year in high school! We get back home to do some last minute packing and finalize some plans. We pick him up from school with the bags packed and in the car already and head straight to the airport. We usually fly in early in the morning, so taking a later flight after school is new for us. Our flight lands on time at 7:00 pm and after a a short wait for more people to board the bus we are off to the Wilderness Lodge Villas. Check-in ins smooth and quick and we are in the room at 9:00pm and we have FP+ for Seven Dwarfs Mine train from 9:25-:10:25 so we decide to take the boat in and see if we can make it in time. The boat is running a little slower then I remember, and doesn't arrive until after 9:30, while the water parade is going on, we still have to go Fort Wilderness, but we are moving slow as the we are following the parade. After what feels like the slowest boat ride we finally make it the Magic Kingdom at 10:10, and we start our journey to 7DMT, fighting against the crowd thats leaving the park since Wishes just ended. We finally make it to 7DMT with 3 minutes to spare, I didn't think we would do it , but we made it. The ride while a little short, was great. Slightly more thrilling then Goofys barnstormer, with an adorable dark ride in the middle, it was a beautiful ride and a great way to start the vacation. We quickly went to Gastons Tavern, as my DS has been talking about LeFou's Brew since last year for a quick drink, and the to Buzz Light Years Space Ranger Spin. Its getting late now, so a quick bite to eat at Cosmic Rays and off to bed to be ready for tomorrow! | |
