On September 9, 2013 I visited Disneyland. Time constraints were such that I could only afford one day at the park, so I knew I had to make every moment count. To this end, I arrived before the gates opened and didn't leave until they closed. In that time I was able to ride most of the major attractions that were open, including Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye; my main reason for visiting the park. It did not disappoint! I also loved riding the Pirates of the Caribbean, my first time to do so since the films-inspired additions. My only regrets were that Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, and Big Thunder Railroad were closed for seasonal maintenance and that I skipped the opportunity to eat Dole Whip, which I mistakingly assumed would be available at Disney's California Adventure park. If I had a comment for the Disneyland poweres-that-be I would suggest they offer discount tickets when 3 or more major rides are purposely closed for upkeep. All-in-all, of the 5 theme parks I visited in California during this trip, Disneyland was by far my favorite. | |
